Bettina von Hagen
Managing Director and CEO
Bettina von Hagen joined EFMI as CEO in October 2008, after serving as the founding CEO from 2003-2006 and as Vice-chair of the Board of Directors since inception. Bettina has been with Ecotrust since 1993, when she joined to help launch Shorebank Pacific Corporation, a regional bank holding company committed to community, conservation and economic development. She grew the Natural Capital Fund, Ecotrust’s working endowment to $40 million through strategic investments in conservation finance, green building, forestland investing, conservation fisheries, and early stage equity investing. She also launched and managed the forestry and ecosystem service program, and served as the project manager on the redevelopment of the Natural Capital Center, a LEED gold historic renovation. Prior to joining Ecotrust, Bettina was a Vice President at First Interstate Bank of Oregon and managed the banking relationships of large and mid-sized companies in the region. She currently serves on the boards of the Climate Trust, Forest Trends, and EFMI. Bettina holds an MBA from the University of Chicago and a B.A. from the University of the Pacific.

Christopher Brand
Managing Director – Capital Resources
Christopher Brand joined EFMI in October of 2008 as Managing Director-Capital Resources after having informally advised EFMI on capital markets issues and serving on the Advisory Board of Ecotrust for two years. Chris joins us with ten years of investment banking experience, most recently with the firms of Dahlman Rose & Co., a leading boutique investment bank in the areas of energy and commodities, where he assisted both public and private companies in securing equity and debt capital, and Thomas Weisel Partners (Nasdaq: TWPG), a merchant bank focusing on technology, media, consumer, energy, healthcare and industrials. Chris has also practiced general commercial, real estate and land use law with the Portland offices of Davis Wright Tremaine, LP and Lane Powell Spears Lubersky, LP. Chris serves on the Advisory Board to the Board of Trustees of Berkshire School, Sheffield, MA and received his BA in Economics from Washington & Lee University and his JD, cum laude, from Willamette University College of Law, where he served on the Willamette Law Review.

Adam Lane
CFO
Adam Lane serves as the Chief Financial Officer of Ecotrust Forest Management. He has held a number of positions in technology companies, including Intel where he specialized in transactional work including acquisition analysis and led the post-acquisition financial integration team for U.S. deals. At Merix, a manufacturing company, Adam also handled acquisitions and worked extensively in the area of activity-based costing and corporate financing alternatives. Prior to attending business school, he worked as a management consultant at PricewaterhouseCoopers, where he led project teams in analyzing company cost structures, market share and product line profitability. Adam performs finance and accounting, financial record keeping, cash management and financial reporting functions for Ecotrust Forest Management and Ecotrust Forests, LLC. Adam earned an MBA from Stanford University and a B.A. from Pomona College.

Amanda Peden
Manager, Office Operations
Amanda Peden is the Manager of Office Operations for Ecotrust Forest Management. She handles everything from administrative support for the CEO and Managing Director of Capital Resources to investor relations and finance support for the management company and Ecotrust Forests, LLC. Prior to joining EFMI in 2007, Amanda worked as a legal assistant for a firm specializing in immigration and corporate law and as a research assistant in Environmental Geology for Pacific Northwest National Laboratory. She graduated Summa Cum Laude from Whitman College, with a degree in Sociology.

Analisa Fenix
Chief Cartographer/Senior GIS Analyst
Analisa Noel McKay is the Chief Cartographer/Senior GIS Analyst for Ecotrust. On a contract basis, Analisa provides expertise in GIS and mapping for Ecotrust Forest Management and Ecotrust Forests, LLC.
